Disrupt/Group is proud to announce our new show, The Partners Project! The Partners Project is the talk interview show for YouTube.
YouTube has matured and grown in leaps and bounds. Content creators are not only getting the audience and engagement that networks would die for, but finally with that they’re all starting to be taken seriously by the traditional folks. This year, Shira started covering a lot of the YouTube viral culture for CBSNews.com. Shira broke the first interviews with Double Rainbow and Antoine Dodson, and it was incredible to see the response from those videos. After working with the Vlog Brothers to do interviews with YouTube stars from VidCon, we were amazed at the fans and community that came out to see their favorite YouTube stars. It was a reality check for everyone involved of how powerful this platform is. It was also extremely inspiring to see all these people who have become friends doing what they love and making a career out of it. It was after that conference that we came up with The Partners Project as a platform to really show everyone who these people are and how they do what they do. It’s like inside the actors studio but for YouTube. Minus James Lipton…
Every week a new episode will give you a behind the scenes and intimate look at your favorite YouTube stars who are pioneering this cultural phenomenon. Also, be sure to check out our website (partnersproject.com) for transcripts of the interviews and additional content. Please share it with your friends, and let us know what you think!

Disrupt
transitive verb
1. a : to break apart : rupture
b : to throw into disorder
2. a : to interrupt the normal course or unity of
To say that the normal course of entertainment and advertising has been broken apart, or thrown into disorder by digital technology is painfully obvious (we’re looking at you, music). What’s less obvious is that in the disruption gap, lies the greatest opportunity both industries have ever faced–an opportunity to entertain, inform and connect with audiences in even more powerful ways than ever before.
We started Disrupt/Group as two people who have been involved in digital and entertainment for a combined decade, to have a platform to share our excitement, passion and ideas on how this disruptive force can help people and their businesses.
We’re already ramping up a ton of new projects with a slate of new clients. A weekly YouTube show we’re announcing next week, new brand-supported content with a major network partner, and a custom program for one of the biggest blue-chip brands in the world at one of the biggest influencer events of the year–among many others in the works.
As our friend and fellow digital creator, Justine Bateman, recently said, “We’ll never again see an opportunity like this as producers–where we can not only shape the medium but the industry itself.”
We believe that. And we hope you believe that too.
Learn to stop worrying and love the disruption. This couldn’t be a more exciting for brands, creators and viewers to engage, create impact and innovation.
Keep Calm and Disrupt On.
